Meet Our Team

Dr. Courtney Whitt serves as the inaugural executive director of the Florida Center for Behavioral Health Workforce. She brings a strong foundation in clinical psychology, integrated health and systems of care, and workforce development.

With deep experience working in integrated behavioral health care and strategic community initiatives, Dr. Whitt is committed to expanding access to high-quality, accessible behavioral health services and supports. Her work spans clinical practice, research, and policy, with a focus on removing workforce barriers and advancing collaborative care across the state.

Dr. Whitt was proudly raised and educated in Florida. She earned a master’s degree in mental health counseling and a doctorate in counseling psychology, both from the University of Miami. Dr. Whitt completed an American Psychological Association–accredited predoctoral internship in integrated care psychology at Wayne State University School of Medicine, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at Salud Family Health Centers, before returning to Florida to advance integrated care in the state. She is a licensed clinical psychologist in Florida. As executive director, she leads the Center’s mission to grow, retain, and innovate Florida’s behavioral health workforce through research, education, policy, and statewide collaboration.
